ServiceGurus is an agile, family-owned business that is run and managed by two dynamic ladies, Shireen Onia and Michelle Page.

Having grown up together, we always dreamt about one day opening a business together, and so our journey began with the launch of ServiceGurus in 2015.

With our combined 40 years plus experience in the tourism and hospitality industry and our boundless enthusiasm and passion for service excellence; we are challenging the way companies empower and enable their teams, through unconventional, hands-on customised training methods, coaching, mentoring and project management.

Our VISION is to create a customer-obsessed culture through developing and up-skilling people, who we feel is the heart of every business.

Shireen Onia has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 20 years. Shireen is passionate about training and developing people in the Hospitality and Service Industry with a view to delivering world class service. She is adamant about turning the hospitality industry on its head by offering unique, new and exciting products, which is highly competitive and has numerous advantages for individual, team and organisational growth and development.

In 2010 Shireen developed a service manual which was recognised by Cape Town Tourism. She trained and supplied staff who worked at the VIP lounges at the Cape Town Stadium during the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Shireen was identified as one of the future leaders by Nandos and was chosen to attend and complete the Associate in Management Program through UCT’s Graduate School of Business in 2012.

Michelle Page believes that every person has the ability, but more so, the desire to be trained, mentored and coached and is excited to add great value by enriching the service delivery experience as a whole.

Michelle oozes passion, energy and exudes a fresh, flexible and highly driven personality and always delights with a witty and engaging sense of humour. She has been hands-on in the Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Tourism and Property industry for the last 23 years. She has thrived in a competitive, cutting edge and ever-changing environment and industry.

Experience Summary:

Her career evolved over a 19 -year period from ‘student’ waitress to a senior member of management of a highly reputable restaurant group at the V& A Waterfront in Cape Town, where she developed great communication skills, a natural eye for detail as well as a being a team player and a hands on operator.

Michelle also contributed in driving the marketing arm of the company which is reputed to “think outside of the box” amongst peers in the industry.
